I just have to restart the computer every time I print to fix the first issue. But I will take a video tomorrow to show what's happening.
As for the filament so the reason pla wasnt sent was that there was only ABS?

X axis overscale?
My printer was running perfect. Completely perfect. Got it calibrated down to the millimeter.
Did an absolutely perfect print. Then I went to do the SAME print again. This time it went to the same starting point, began to extrude like it should. But continued extruding until it began to grind ...

I have the same extruder and I had to rotate the trimpot on the driver board for the extruder. About a half turn from where it was by default. Also make sure you loosen off the bolt holding that tightening bracket up a bit for abs printing.

I unplugged the motor and plugged it back in and it magically decided it would work now.

I adjusted the trimpot on the extruder driver and it seems to work better. But now my X axis does the skipping. Jumps and whines a bit before giving up.

Mk8 extruder skipping
I finally got my prusa i3 to print. It was terrible to watch but it did work. Mostly.
Regardless of whether the extruder clam bolt is all the wya down up, or anything in the middle. If I get to an infill area the extruder begins to "skip" it stops pushing out filament.

For some reason it never occurred to me to check how the thermistor had been attached to the heating bed. the wire was wrapped together all the way up. It works now. Thanks a TON!!!
