I just wanted to add, when I am testing the extruder motion using the on board control panel I pulled the
filament out, set the fan at about 45 degrees off and watch for the motor to turn the gear, turn the nob and nothing.

After using your posted version of Marlin (Marlin_GT2560-PI3_Pro_C.zip) I successfully
compiled and uploaded it but I still can't get the extruder motor to drive media.
