I did that and it cleared the extruder, thanks. I think the problem though is that the metal gear that pulls the plastic through is worn (I can see a grove in it where the plastic passes). Is there any way to stop this happening and where can I get replacement gear wheels from please?

Hi, the extruder is clear after I pushed a metal rod through the tube and a small piece of ABS came out. The nozzle is still clogged though as it does not seem to get hot enough even though the display says 250 degrees.
