1.Were the jumpers all plugged into?

2.If all the jumpers are plugged into,and X motor still moves abnormally.You can modify the step/mm(80) paremeter to 20,which may work.
All jumpers are there. I wiggled them a little bit to check if the connections were solid, but that didn't ...

I have a i3 X acrylic model. The x-axis motor is going way too fast. When I select Prepare>Move Axis>1 mm>X-Axis the bed (which is 210 mm wide) is travelled in 50 mm of adjustment, so the X-Axis is about a factor of 4x too fast. The Y-Axis works as expected. I then swapped the X and Y-Axis ...
