Re: i3X LCD stays black
The uneven bed is just a "metaphor" for symptoms that those bended smooth rods produce, i guess. Because there is a glass (about the size of the bed) above the aluminum and if i adjust the nozzle to one paper sheet away from the bed in edge i cant slide the extruder across to the other edge. That ...

Re: i3X LCD stays black
Weird it is, it was working eletrically perfect before i uploaded the 3d touch fw, so if the fw cant broke the board i think i still have hope. I do have that old bricked board still and it has that oscillator but i would have to be pretty sure that it is indeed that part before i try to replace it ...

Re: i3X LCD stays black
Well a little update and a new problem (seems that theres always something). Got the new board and figured out those mintemp errors by getting the correct firmware in (credits to some guy in other forum) by resetting the board just before uploading the fw. So both temperatures registered correctly ...

Re: i3X LCD stays black
I think you just make sure the following points are right, then your board is good:
1.The temp for heatbed and extruder should be both "301/0" with two jumper caps in the two sockets, leaving alone the error.
2.The display should be both "0/0" with all jumpers and thermistors out, still leaving alone ...

Re: i3X LCD stays black
Well didnt even bother to solder a new thermistor to hot bed since it wasnt even connected when that maxtemp bed error was shown, with those jumper caps in. I however did test every way and here are the results:
Both thermistors correctly -> Err: MINTEMP
Jumper cap in both sockets -> Err: MAXTEMP ...

Re: i3X LCD stays black
Thank you for that, that gave me little hope. Found a couple old hard drive jumper caps, other one snapped in like it should but the other one was little loose, however i tried them both on both places and the middle one was always empty and both times got the same result: Err: MAXTEMP BED, and all ...

Re: i3X LCD stays black
Well got the new board along with new hot end and thermistor, plugged them in with no problems, wired everything with ease, turned power on and lcd works :) but thats all the good news. Its like deja vu from the first time i turned this on about 3 months ago, but back then i knew it was faulty hot ...
