OK - found the solution to my problem, and maybe to the gentleman from Columbia. I had inadvertedly plugged the Y cut-off into the Xmax, and Z into the Ymin, instead of the proper sockets. The schematic on page 92 of the PDF (provided by Geeetech) clearly shows the proper positioning - X to Xmin, Y ...

Also how do I move the Z axis down without going back and changing the argument from false to true temporarily?

I have the same problem. Have downloaded this copy of Marlin and am unable to move the axes properly. When I use auto home the x and y bump off the mechanical stops, and the z moves up from its last position. Is this what I am looking for?
