Re: Connector names
Yeah, the stock extruder & hotend gave me nothing but trouble, but now having finally got an extruder & hotend combo that works flawlessly (because it's all original E3D kit), it has exposed all of the other flaws in my Geeetech stuff. Basically, all the Geeetech rods are appallingly poor. My X & Y ...

Re: Slic3r Settings for Prusa i3 Pro W
After I fixed the nozzle size so that it actually matched what was on the Pro W that I had, I think that they were pretty much "as is".

Re: marlin 1.1.8 firmware download
I'm running 1.1.8 too, with a heavily modified version of one of the supplied Geeetech Configuration.h files (alas, not ready for public consumption yet). My 3D-Touch is currently being replaced by Geeetech (Charly Pan rocks), so I have reinstated my old, bog-standard, Z end-stop. Marlin 1.1.8 is ...

Re: I3 pro b homing problem
Glad to be of help. I'm not that far ahead of you in terms of 3D Printing experience, it's just that I've gone through really similar problems & have finally come up with good solutions. Of course, good solutions are even better if you pass them on, as I know & really understand just how frustrating ...

Re: Fans slow down when extruder or hotbed activated
William,
on the GT2560 Rev A+ board, it has Fan1, Fan2 & Fan3, along with a PWM port that is generally used for a part cooling fan. All of Fan ports have 3 connector pins, although both of the Geeetech fans that are plugged into them only have the two power cables (that's the hotend fan & the ...

Re: Fans slow down when extruder or hotbed activated
I only have the stock motherboard fan on my Pro W, along with the 30mm fan on my E3D Lite6 hotend, as the E3D Titan extruder doesn't have a fan. They are both TWO wire fans, ie there's no speed controller, they are either full on, or off, & I can't work out how to turn them off.

Genuine E3D upgrade - WOW :-)
Having struggled with my Geeetech Pro W for over three months now, I finally resolved to fix all of my extruder & hotend problems in one fell swoop. I went all "Big Chief Hand in Wallet" & bought myself a Genuine E3D Titan Extruder & Genuine E3D Lite6 Hotend. I used the Geeetech Stepper Motor cable ...
