I have just received my wifi module and downloaded the Android Easyprint 3D app. When I try to bind my phone and module manually I get the message "The serial number does not exist, please check it." I have checked it many times and it is correct. Please advise.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. The cable was the right way round, but must not have been fully seated on the pins. All seems well, now.

The first raft of errors from Arduino IDE occurred because I was working on the downloaded marlin.ino (on linux). By pulling it in as a template and saving it as marlin2.ino I was able to save changes.
