Re: A10 Temperatures are reading very high
:?
I think the issue from the board.
The last step is:
Replace the thermistor .
I think that you are correct - so I have decided to build a hybrid.
I have an older GT2560 board - not one designed for the A10 and a 2004 LCD on their way - in theory, with a few cabling changes and some new LCD ...

Re: A10 Temperatures are reading very high
More information.
unplugging everything except power/motors from the board gives me the same temp readings, a quick check of resistance on the thermistors gives me readings in the 100k region - which leads me to think that the board is fried, not the bed/hot end.
Does this feel likely ?

Re: A10 Temperatures are reading very high

1.Check the thermistor
100K ,ntc(80~120K is normal)
2.Remove the thermistor off then check the LCD info correct or not

Re: A10 Temperatures are reading very high
Unfortunately all connections are solid - at least all of the non-soldered ones are solid.
It is very frustrating that I cannot find a decent trouble-shooting guide..
What I am thinking of doing it buying a new GT2560 board, because it appears that the issue is there, from the limited information ...

A10 Temperatures are reading very high
My A10 has been pretty good for the last couple of months, but mid-print last night the temperature sensors are reading wildly incorrectly and the ensuing chaos was pretty funny.
However I cannot see a reason for this.
The measured room Temp is 21C.
- The IR Measured Nozzle Temp is 20.7C
- The ...

Re: So, what do I use if I do not have Windows ?
I thought I would update this after a couple of months.
Short Answer - Cura is awesome and with a large amount of trial and error I have a pretty decent 3d printer.
Much longer answer -
I have no desire to install windows, never have, never will, it is just not my thing.

Re: A10 won't keep temp settings
In 'Manage Printers' / Machine Settings take a look at the Start G-Code
I BET that the two lines
are in there and either commenting them out with a semi colon
or deleting them entirely will fix this.

Remarks on configuring the Geeetech A10 in Cura.
I am not sure that the following two lines are useful in the Start G-code section.
M109 S200;Heating nozzle
M190 S60;Heating bed
This appears to override Nozzle and Bed temp to 200/60 that are taken from Filament or Custom profiles.
Commenting them out, or zapping them entirely returns ...

So, what do I use if I do not have Windows ?
I am a Mac user.
I do not have, and nor do I want or need, a Windows machine.
One of the selling points of this A10 printer was that it works with Windows/Mac/ Linux.
This is my first foray into the world of 3D printers and thus far I have been goofing around with Slic3r, which seems to be ...
