Re: Suddenly stopped printing

Hi William, I don't really know what else to add. I can't do a video, but the below is a step by step sequence of what used to happen versus what happens now, hope it makes sense.

This is what I USED to do:

put in SD card with gcode file
Press PRINT, then pick file I want to print, then press ...

Suddenly stopped printing

Hi all,

After many successful prints, my printer has stopped working. Previously I would stick in the SD card with the gcode file on it, navigate to the file screen, pick the file and hit PRINT. The system would heat up to the required temperatures, then start printing. Simple!

Now, it does ...

Re: printing multiple colours

Thanks Kaktus.

So not as easy as the A20M then!

I found this, https://www.prusaprinters.org/color-print/ , and as I'm using the Slic3r Prusa edition, I think this should work.

So if people print out a multi-coloured print, how do they do it? Just paint the model, or some other magic way I haven't ...

printing multiple colours

Hi all,

Is it possible to use the A30 to print 2 or more colours on one print job similar to the A20M, and if so, can anyone point me to a guide or instructions please?

Thanks

Re: Filament extrusion issues

For issues with the print not sticking to the plate, check out my thread here for some tips, I had the same issues but it's all fixed now :D

Re: Newbie issues with first print

Correct Kaktus :)

I think the most important change I made was using the the Slic3r PE profile from this thread: https://www.geeetech.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=61905 , and increasing the temps for both plate to 60C and nozzle to 225/220C. I'm using Geeetech PLA which states a recommended ...

Re: Newbie issues with first print

OK, there's definitely something up with remembering the Z axis offset. I turned the printer off last night having not changed it from 1.25. When I turned it on this morning I went straight to the levelling page and sent the nozzle to position 5. The offset showed 1.25 on the screen, but the paper ...

Re: Newbie issues with first print

Hi Advil,

Thanks for your continued help with this (Kaktus too), you must be nearly as frustrated as me!

The PLA filament is direct from Geeetech, PLA 1.75mm. Brand new and vacuum packed when I got it.

I re-levelled the plate and made sure to hit OK to save it, I'm not convinced that the system ...

Re: Newbie issues with first print

Hi kaktus,

Thanks for the link, I haven't posted photos, as there is literally nothing to photo apart from some tangled filament at the end of the nozzle, there's nothing on the plate to take a photo of, unlike the plate in the link you posted. I'll try and take a video and link that somewhere, is ...

Re: Newbie issues with first print

Hi Gamura and Advil, and thanks for your replies.

I didn't level the Z axis rail as the instructions didn't show that, I didn't have the identical supports, and neither of the videos I followed showed that it had to be done :( I have now done that, using 2 cans of coke as they should be pretty ...
