Frozen X-axis?
I have an A10M. Finished a print. Went to auto home and get this horrific sound.
I am NOT hitting the bed,. checked belt tension and wheels turn free when I disable stepper motor. What else? Hot end carriage grinds and doesn't move. In the X-axis only. Y and Z are fine.
I would upload grinding ...

Re: Layer shift and PID test
Z axis moved fine. How do I adjust tightness. It seems fine but I can play around with it. Why doesn't it happen until several layers into printing?

Layer shift and PID test
Suddenly I am getting layer shift after 5 layers. All of a sudden it is 75% off. I have checked belts tension and wheels. All tight. Now I can't get a print past 5 layer's. Causes?
I thought I would try tune my hotend with M303 auto tune. It ramps temp up and cools down but doesn't report back ...

Re: How to update the hex firmware via cura
Thank you for the advice. That's why I have dragged my feet on upgrading.
I suddenly am getting huge layer shift after like 5 layers. I have checked belts, bolts for tightness. All seems good. I figured if I had to adjust stuff, I might as well upgrade. I will keep 1.1.8 for now.

Re: How to update the hex firmware via cura
So to upgrade to Marlin. So all I have to do is download configuration files and upgrade through Cura? No Arduino stuff? I am on Marlin 1.1.8. Can I load anyone's A10M config? Is the official Geeetech files 1.1.19 or 2.0?
Hopefully it is that easy. I have read that some people have issues after ...

E-step or under extrude
My prints are very lonely. Is this under extrusions or is there an e step adjustment needed? It is printing sideways so it fits the bed. If it is e-step, how do I adjust?
