SKU:LCD-06646

Post by fpgiovanini »

Hi,
i have purchased the "Arduino Compatible 3.2'' TFT LCD module with SD card (34 pins)
Now i'm trying to use it but it doesn't works....
I have connected the shield as described in your guide and uploaded the first demo on the arduino board (hanning library)
The upload goes well but i get only a white screen or some white lines in the image on the lcd.
I have been using mega2560 and wiki connections.
tks a lot, best regards.

Dear fpgiovanini,
First, you should check if the LCD connects the board well, and in right direction.
If so,does the LCD work well in other state? If it never displayed sth correct, you can replace it by another LCD.
And all firmware is correct and downloaded from our website?
Sincerely
Harry

Hi Harry
Thanks for your repply.
The connections are correct.see: http://www.geeetech.com/wiki/index.php/3.2TFT_LCD
The LCD display the images and text but It display the imagens with white lines when the processor is sending a new command to change the images.
When the images are hold the lines disappear.
hardware: arduino mega2560
software: utft

Hi fpgiovanini
Have asked the engineer, everything is OK with your device.
Limited by the refresh frequence, when displaying big images, the LCD twinkles or displays some white lines,
It's normal and it couldn't cause problem.
Sincerely
Harry

Dear harry
Sorry but i have To desagree with your technical dpto.
It's not normal for a lcd to twinkles when images are being update.
The processor hás To update imagens All the time when running an aplication.
How can I read something on This condition?

Hi fpgiovanini
It's OK that you disagreed.
I'm sorry that maybe I didn't explain clearly.
There are several possible reasons:
1.The image is too big to diaplay or switch rapidly(static image)
2.Too much calculation for the processor so the LCD could not displayed immiediately(ploting)
Can you upload a photo about the image with wihite lines,
so we can determine the specific problem.

Hi fpgiovanini
The power supply is not stable, when we used USB port as power, the same problem came out.
So we used a battery and white lines disappeared. You need to change the power.

Dear Harry
I´m sorry to inform you that this solution (power the TFT and the arduino board with 9v baterry) didn´t make the white lines to desappear.
Do you have any idea of what´s going on?Is it normal to connect the TFT (3.3v power ) with arduino bus with 5v?
Please, help me to find a solution.
tks
