the firmware I was emailed didn't work on my Acrylic Geeetech I3 pro 3D Printer but I was able to edit the default marlin files from your instructions and other information I found to get the axis and endstops working.
the problem now is that my LCD2004 still does not display. I had it flickering once when playing around within marlin but I thought I could get some better information here.
I am also waiting on a replacement heater cartridge and the one that was shipped was faulty and you failed to reply to my email so I just ordered a replacement without waiting for a reply.
so far my experience with getting my printer running has been a learning experience but communication and firmware has been a little frustrating.
thanks

LCD2004
The firmware you emailed me doesn't work. it uploads but I can't connect to the printer in Rerpetier, or at least nothing works when I do.
when I follow these instructions (http://www.geeetech.com/wiki/index.php/ ... le_Burning) but leave out "delete the “//” from “//#define REPRAP_DISCOUNT_SMART_CONTROLLER” to ensure the normal working" it uplaods and I can connect fine and control the printer using manual control. when I uncomment that line, upload and try to connect nothing happens.
attached is my working firmware without the LCD working
thanks
