Firmware request

Post by mboz »

Hi,
! have a Prusa i3 with a mega2560 + ramps 1.4 controller.

I'd like to try flashing the firmware again. Initially I believed I had no LCD output but maybe it is very dim as I see it now. I'd like to reload the firmware as now the LCD alarm goes off. I see MAXTEMP on LCD(very dim).

Thanks,
Mike

I think it's not firmware issue.
The letter on screen is dim:
This is contract issue. You can rotate the little screw above SD card slot on the back side of LCD.
MAXTEMP ERROR:
1. If it shows "358/0, room temp/0; Err: MAXTEMP". The extruder thermistor is short.
2. If it shows "358/0, 358/0; Err: MAXTEMP". Both extruder thermistor and hot bed thermistor are short.
3. If it shows "room temp/0, 358/0; Err:MAXTEMP BED". The hot bed thermistor is short.
Please check if somewhere of the wire are connected. If so, the current will not go through thermistor, and LCD will diaplay TEMP ERROR .

Hi zhangxueyou, Thanks for that info. I have flashed development FW now and will need the original firmware to continue. I discovered the brightness screw and have a clear screen now. At this point w/ the dev FW I only have black blocks across the screen. I've messed w/ the TEMP_SENSOR defines and MOTHERBOARD w/ a variety of LCD output. Some of where clear of errors. I have been unable to control the axis via the LCD. The knob on the LCD does nothing. Reset button does nothing. Via RepetierHost I also have no manual control. I think I need to start w/ fresh Geeetech FW and debug from there.

thanks,
Mike

I'm encountering a similar problem after uploading ' #define EXTRUDE_MINTEMP 170" to the board. I think I also need to flash the board with the original firmware.
