Hot bed doesn't heat

Post by ECOS »

Hi,
I need help about my Geeetech Prusa I3 M201(board GTM32) just assembled, because hot bed doesn't work.
Temperature marks always 0°, therefore bed remains cold.
I think it dipends on NTC thermistor, but after a number of attempts I don't know what else to modify.
Could somebody give me some suggestions?
Thanks in advance

Hi,Ecos
First you should verify if your bed temperature on the LCD is room temp,that is to say,your thermistor must work fine.So check if the thermistor has a right connection to the board.Then refer to this post:

Hi William,
before all thanks for reply. Then, having a look in the suggested post by Mark, my LCD has been displaying neither ERR MAXTEMP nor ERR MINTEMP.
Anyway, it shows "room temp=19/0, 0/0 ". The hot bed thermistor is open circuit, I suppose.
In this case, are we sure the board is ok? (first point of question)
If yes, in which way can I set the temperature in the firmware as suggested? (second point of question)

#define HEATER_0_MAXTEMP 275
#define HEATER_1_MAXTEMP 275
#define HEATER_2_MAXTEMP 275
#define BED_MAXTEMP 150

I have installed STM32 ST-LINK Utility, but the code GTM32_V1.0.4 is .hex, so unreadable. Which tool to be used for doing those modification?
Thanks for support, I hope.

1.Your "room temp=19/0, 0/0 " means the "ERR MINTEMP" happens to your bed,so you can check your board as the link i posted to you before.
2.The firmware for M201 is not open source,so something can't be modified if you can't find it on your LCD panel.

Hot end doesn't extrude

Post by ECOS »

Hi,
so I have another problem on my M201. After replacing the hot bed because the thermistor in GEEETECH hot bed was broken, I can not even print.
From the heating chamber comes out a blob in PLA, every attempt (fan, temps, unmount hot end, etc) doesn't change the result.
I'm sure it does not depend on nozzle, because there aren't occlusion. So why? (first point of question)
In case it is possible the return to the seller, changing the hot end with a new one? (second point of question)
(I have already changed the hot bed damaged at my expense, two failure in the same printer are not possible)

Thanks for support in advance.

The thermistor was broken,why not change a thermistor alone? :o
Can you attach some pics or videos?Cuz i can't get what you exactly meant...

Maybe something wrong with the slicer settings, how about try this:
M201-PLA-0.4-1.75.zip
(1.41 KiB) Downloaded 410 times
M201-PLA-0.3-1.75.zip
(1.41 KiB) Downloaded 435 times
Make sure you've plugged the PTFE tube into hotend deeply enough and the hotend is not clogged.
Here's a post, you can take it as a reference:
