Filament not enough extruded in Aluminum Prusa i3

Post by obus3000 »

Hello All

Thank you for all the tips and questions solved here.

I have a problem when printing, not enough filament is being extruded. Im using PLA with 210 Celsius in the extruder and 65 Celsius in the bed.
I dont know where the problem is. I explain:

- I had issues with the hotend since the beginning. I raised the capacitor in the A4988 because no filament at all was being extruded at first.
- First layers seems to extrude ok. might be because the hot bed helps, but in the 3rd layer I start to see problems, sometimes even with the second layer. I have to push the filament to be extruded. But when the Z axis is more high it doesnt even extrude, not even pushing.

You can see the attached pictures of my finished cube.

I did something to force extruding. I plugged out the thermistor to force the nozzle to heat. So, the printer tought the extruder was at less temperature. and then the filament was being extruded again. You can see in the picture.
The attachment IMG_20170224_104157.jpg is no longer available
After the filament was being extruded again, I placed the thermistor in its place again and the temperature was about 245 Celsius

So, maybe the problem is with the temperature in the nozzle. not being enough or the thermistor wrong. Sadly I dont have an infrared digital thermometer, Im trying to borrow one, But if the temperature in the lcd screen is not correct. what could be wrong? Im using the stock firmware provided here and there is set to 1 (100k thermistor)
How can I know for sure what type of thermistor I own?

What else can this be?
