Thanks...I am making progress. I did update the IDE but as you can see, the Teensy options do not contain any "CDC" choices.



Also, regarding the LCD, mine did not come with one. I do have a couple LCD shields and extra Arduino boards I can dedicate to this machine.

then I don't know why...usually your board will be preinstalled with the firmware, you can find a LCD plug into it and check it.

I am not sure how to connect it. Do I program another Arduino for it?
