Hi.
This means that the printer controller is functioning properly.

one more question then... do you think it would be possible and/or might fix my problem if i were to get a new lcd2004 (lcd portion only) and carefully replaced it to my current display board?
i haven't been able to print in almost a month and am trying to think of ways to get this thing working sooner than having to wait a month for a part to be shipped to me from overseas

Hi.
In my opinion, the GT operator module
(display module) is adapted to mount an external LCD display.
This is evidenced by the connector with standard leads.
In case you decide to take such a step, remove the old screen.

I would also consider disconnecting the power supply to the integrated controller. This requires finding and cutting through the power supply route.

i did the easier and quicker solution... i ordered a 12864 full graphic LCD & controller from Amazon. got it same-day delivery. now just waiting for the component that will help me splice the two different types of display connections together

I have ordered my new display from Geeetech sales. Should be here within a few weeks. Am I going to have to install software or will this just be plug and play? I assume I will want to update to Marlin 2.0 anyway but would like to at least fire this thing up for the first time and print a practice part.

Hi.
Wait a moment and then politely remind you of your case. Maybe there are a lot of queries at that time.

Hello.
Okay, I understand that you are no longer interested in finding an error. I understand it.
You can always write a message asking to buy new components to
sales@geeetech.com.
Describe your situation. Write in a message what printer model and controller board version you have.
I think there is a problem with your display module.
I am still waiting for my new display from Geetech. I know you expressed interest in my old display so you could resolve the issue I had. I will send it as soon as I get the new display.
Am I going to have to flash software for the new display? If so I should be researching how to do that.
Hopefully be getting your mailing address for the display soon.
