GT2560 Auto Bed Leveling

Hello, i have a Geeetech Prusa I3 X with a gt2560 board, i just fixed an optical sensor on the extruder and i'm wondering how I can connect it to the GT2560 board.
The sensor has 3 pin:
GND
VCC (5 volt)
SIGNAL
I used a voltage regulator and powered the sensor direct from a free fan socket of the GT2560 and it powers up.
Now i would like to know if i can directly connect the signal wire of the optical sensor (it output 5 volt when it "see" the bed) on the pin of the Z max endstop (picture below): Or if there is another or better way.
Thank you for any hint.
