Rostock 310 Extruder not working

Nice idea but can't get stability. As a test, I had it do a triangle 50mm to a side. let it do its thing at 100mm off of the surface and had each extruder do one side of the triangle. The expectation, a smooth filament changing color with the same diameter. The result, not even close. Been looking at his for a number of days, the only plan replace the extruder with a single filament unit. Any ideas?

I took it all apart, cleaned and measured the internal zones. From the end of teflon tube there is 14mm of heated area and each of the filaments seems to mix in a 5mm zone before the 0.4mm exit. Press too hard on one of the filaments and it will push up on the other two filaments. So there seems to be a problem in that an unused filament will not have the same fluidity due to it waiting in the hot tip. Removing the pressure buy reversing the active filament is a problem if drawn too far, and may not work due to the other two filaments.

Bonjour mcandrle,

Cordialement,

L'ami René
