motor works for a single print then burns out the wire

Recently, whenever i use the stepper motor on the extruder it will work for 1-3 prints, figuring it might just be the controller so i tried swaping it with one for another motor, the other motor worked, but extruder motor still refused to work. So i ended up replacing the cable worked great for 2 prints then burnt out again. Tried a new stepper motor, worked for 1 print then burnt out again, im now on my 4th motor, 15th wire.

Could this be a controller issue, any help welcome?

I haven't heard about the issue like you have before...So can't answer the question..
Maybe you can test some voltage on the driver A4988?

Found out what the problem was there was a short on the back of the control board, that lead to all the problems with it burning out stepper motors and wires.
