Extruder filling with filament (Me Creator 2 - MK8)

I have a problem with the extruder, it seems like the filament is coming upwards out of it where the extruder is attached with the screw (See Pictures). Therefore it accumulates and sometimes trops fall down possibly destroying prints. Does anyone now how to fix this issue and how to prevent it from happening again? I have never touched or modified any part of the MeCreator2 besides for taking this pictures.
