Hello, I'm old. I just bought an i3 pro B and my Repetier or Cura software isn't communicating with my printer.
What is a bootloader? Firmware? etc. I'm not sure if I have the right software and If I don't, I need help obtaining the
drivers etc.
Any and all help is appreciated!
God Bless Y'all
Jim

Hi,boomer
1.Install the drivers of CH340
You can download it from here
http://www.geeetech.com/wiki/index.php/ ... he_drivers
2.Then you can find USB serial device shown at the device manager
3.Then you can use download Easyprint 1.1.7/Repetier-Host for slicing the model
You need set the baud rate to 250000
4.You can find the stl files from
https://www.thingiverse.com
5.Then you can refer the user manual and enjoy it.

In our case, the bootloader is a special booting software.
after activating His task is to enable updating the proper firmware.
Both the bootloader and the actual firmware are stored in the non-volatile memory of μC controlling the operation of the entire electronic system.
The firmware runs every time the device is turned on - in our case the printer.
The bootloader must be forced specifically. Then we can update the firmware code in non-volatile memory.
I hope I helped a little bit. ;-)
