Shifting the layers
Shifting the layers
Hello everybody ! I have a problem when printing models on my printer E180: moving (shifting) the layers have place. How can I solve this problem? What is the reason ? The shifting is only during the Y-axis. I tryed to tighten the y-belt but no rezult. I want to measure the voltage of motor (may be need to increase it) , but i can not find the driver of y-motor. Where is it located ?

Look into my topic: viewtopic.php?f=64&t=61008
Please print your idea from the sd-card. Thats working perfect. Printing directly form USB, my E180 shifting the layers too.

Re: Shifting the layers
If this model can be slow down while printing, try this solution.
This is to avoid the problem until you solve it.

Re: Shifting the layers
The layers shifts without the visible reason. I increased the voltage of driver motors up to 1,1 volts but no result. Always I print my models from sd-card (I use no usb). I use repieter-host software. My firmware version is 1.23.25. This is the newest version at the moment. What to do ?
Re: Shifting the layers
New firmware available: 1.25.31
Try them and print again!

Re: Shifting the layers
I have the same Problem!
I printed from SD-Card over night, and in the morning I realized it shifted the Layers a bit.
I have Firmware-Version V1.29.36 (the newest one)
Is there any solution or workaround yet?
Thanks

Re: Shifting the layers
Hello,
I have the newest firmware v1.29.36 and the hardware version is V1.4-null and my serial number 180512E18003103 and I always have the same problem. I have tried with Easy Print 3D with the USB cable, but it stopd in the 4th layer usually. When trying with only the SD-card, it uses to print shifted in different layer.
I have tried with Cura and Slic3r but it does the same. The plate are levered rightly and every time a I try to print, but nothing works.
The worst thing is that I have sent two email to technical@geeetech.com and they never answer.

1, Possibly the voltage of A4988 is a little low.marparcepelopo wrote: Mon Jun 18, 2018 9:29 pm Hello,

2, Check the belts, maybe they are loose.
3, Slow down the print speed.
Re: Shifting the layers
Check the rollers holding the build platform. Mine was doing the same and I fixed it by loosining the screw on one of the rollers which wasnt freely turning. The motor is strong enough to overcome the friction of the roller but will occasionally skip whih causes the layer shift. To fix you need to remove the build plate then you can access the screws through the holes in the mounting platform, if you find a roller that isn't moving just back its screw off enough to allow the roller to turn when the build platform is moved.
