Hot end thermistor.

Hi all.

I am having some trouble with my new i3 Pro W printer. It seems there is a bad connection with the hot end thermistor and keeps giving me MINTEMP errors.
I can start up the printer, raise the bed temp and hot end temp just fine but as soon as the extruder is moved the hot end temp jumps to 0 and gives me a MINTEMP error and cancels the print.
I can move the wires slightly at the hot end and watch the temp readings go from 0 to reading fine.

I have taken the hot end off and tried to get the thermistor out to repair it but it seems to be glued in there pretty tight. Is there anyway to repair this or replace it.

Thank you. IG.

Hi

In your opinion, is it possible for the wires to become short-circuit while the head is moving? Or does one of them lose its electrical connection?

If everything is in order with the wires, look for a solution in the forum.

In the forum search I suggest to enter the text MINTEMP
;)

Hi.

After a while I found that one of the crimps from the thermistor to the wire was slightly loose. Getting some pliers and tightening it down has fixed this.

Cheers, IG.
