Hi guys,

so i'm confused what is latest firmware version for A30, it seems there is only v.1.37.58 on http://geeetech.com/firmware/, yet people with 3d-touch complained about it, as apparently it has lot of bugs...

and the only success story of using 3d touch with A30 i heard of is in this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zTJFtwL4O0) guy using V1.38.61?
I looked for V1.38.61 everywhere and I can not find it.

So that brings me to question what is current latest version of firmware for A30 and where do i download it?

I have the Version A30_V1.38.59 downloaded. But I can't install it because in the "the Smartto Firmware Upgrader Tool, you need to use the V2.x or higher". But this version is not available.

the Smartto Firmware V2.0 can you find in the Download section, too. It is under "Software" - "Related Software" - "Firmware Toolkit for Geetech Printers":

Regarding the "new" firmware I have no idea.

I have updated to A30_V1.38.59, has anyone tested it with 3D Touch?

I have tested with 3Dtouch and it work like a charme The 3Dtouch is very accurate.
Much better than with the Capacitive Proximity Switch.

First, I had to disassemble the printhead and solder on the small PCB board a pin header, because my printer was not prepared for the 3D touch sensor.
Than I used this video to setup the 3Dtouch sensor:

Thanks P_Rhodan, but what version of firmware do you use? because in that video link, guy uses V1.38.61 and I can't find it anywhere. Anyone know where I can find V1.38.61?

I use V1.38.59. If you look on the upload date of the Video, it was 19th of July 2018! At this time was the official firmware far away from the now latest firmware version.
Also if you look an the background of the video, I have the feeling that this guy works for Geeetech or a company who work for Geeetech and he has access to internal Information/ressources.

But this is only a guess, not Knowledge.

As I know,that version fw have a ton of bug.
You need to upload the new fw for it and you can use the bltuoch/NPN sensor.
