What flash method for updating the firmware with octoprint?

I've built the firmware for my A10T and want to update it with octoprint, but don't know what flash method?

STM Is the good one.
Marlin 2.0 ?

I have not seen any warning against any firmware downloader, they all sound like they work. I tried version 2 for a day, but I'm making a lot of other changes, so i'm running the one that came with the printer until I have a few more things sorted out or I find a requirement to change it.
