Prusa i3 pro b firmware not compiling

Hi all,
I have been trying to reflash the firmware on my i3 pro b, but every time I try, the compile fails in the arduino software - usually because of an issue with the LCD not being defined.
It is really odd, as I was able to flash the same firmware without any issues when I first set it up.
I would also like to know if there are any recommendations for changes to any of the firmware files to improve print quality.
Does anyone have any advice? Any help gratefully received!
Also: when I downloaded the firmware tools for Windows and tried to use it, it got quarantined by my antivirus software!
