Have you ever had the following issue and if yes how did you fix it:

If I set my extruder temp to 160, the temp goes up really fast and then goes way over 160. it goes up to 260 and then goes really slowly down to 160. problem is, if I set it to 200, it goes to almost 300 and therefore the printer goes into max-temp error.VidMate Mobdro


I know that the temp will always go above the set temp. Usually for my printer, it goes 10 above set temp and then goes down and stays there.

I have this issue since I switched out the hot-end. What did I do wrong or is there something wrong with my printer?

Hello, maybe it is the heating wire or the thermistor. Do you have a multimeter? You can measure the resistance of the thermistor and heating rod to see if it is around 90K ohms and 15 ohms.
