I have chosen the correct board. As for the port, when I plug in the USB cord and connect the ATmega it automatically chooses the COM4. I can't change it to 'Serial Ports'.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. The error message I'm talking about comes from the Arduino IDE. I'm using the latest, arduino 1.6.1. I configured the Marling Configuration.h and compiled all the Marlin files in the Arduino IDE and it compiled OK. When I tried to write it to the ATmega the ...
