Re: Geeetech i3 Prusa Dual Extruder
I think that this would be hard to do as each printer is different and the environment they are working in is different. Like the type of filament, humidity, temperature, etc. I'm just getting started in 3D printing also, and I am finding a lot of information on line to help me. If you have printing ...

Re: Risky Auto Home position
Good post!
I have the same issue so I looked at the Custom G-code in Slic3r. On my Start G-code I have the following:
G28; home all axis
G1 Z5 F5000; lift nozzle
should I add the code below after the last line above so it looks like this?
G28; home all axis
G1 Z5 F5000; lift nozzle

Which software host to use with i3 Pro C Dual
I'm out of town for work so I'm reading up on 3D printing with my Geeetech i3 Pro C dual for when I get home.
I read about Pronterface and saw a feature that looked interesting. The ability to preview a visual representation of the print layer by layer before sending it to print. This way you can ...

Re: Fanduct for Prusa i3 Pro and Pro B for better resolution
Is the fan very efficient for cooling the extruders if it's mounted at the back of the motor?
Also, at what point during the print process should the fan cool? Is it off and on to regulate the extruder tamp as needed?

Re: Fanduct for Prusa i3 Pro and Pro B for better resolution
I'm new to printing, I've only made some 10mm test cubes. How does the air blowing onto the print help the process?
I have a dual extruder i3 Pro C. It seems like my fan only cools the back of the two motors. .....

Re: Firmware for i3 Pro C and configuration h
I am traveling out of state this week and won't be able to try this firmware until Saturday.
I did get a print with the firmware I found but perhaps the version that Sherry just sent me is newer.

Re: New i3 Pro C setup questions
Thanks for your reply!
I fixed the issue with the limit switch, by mistake I connected them to X,Y,Z-Max, instead of Min. The limit switches work properly now.
Concerning the max travel. When the carriage moves to the X- Min position the left extruder #1 is off the bed, when I move to the X-Max ...

New i3 Pro C setup questions
I'm new and I have some questions. Here is some information to let you know where I am at.
I have the latest Marlin firmware loaded, using GT2560 board. Motors work fine, no noise, nothing strange. Heaters all work ok, temp is good. There are limit switches installed on the min side of the x,y,z ...

Firmware for i3 Pro C and configuration h
Hi
I figured out how to load the firmware, I found the latest on this forum in a recent post, but then I saw that there are some settings for the configuration H that can be changed. As I am fairly new to this I was not sure exactly if I should change these settings.
I am able to communicate with ...

New i3 Dual with GT2560 board- Need to load Firmware
Hi
I'm just getting started with 3D printing. Just received a new i3 Pro C with dual extruders, and I have a bit of knowledge with electronics but I have to admit I'm lost here.
There is no firmware on my controller. I know its a GT2560 board, I've confirmed this. I have a copy of the Marlin ...
