Windows 10 pulled a win from left field. Managed to get the drivers installed and the board recognized as COM5. I even managed to load Marlin to the board. Ok so Ive gotten my new board. I plugged it in with just the USB first and got the same thing. So I plugged the power into the board and then plugged in the USB. I still not getting any connection notifications from windows. Is there software I need to download before the computer will see it?

Considering that all the other posts I've looked at didn't require the board to be connected to an outside power supply, also that anytime I plug a board into a USB port on my computer AND external 12v or 24v the USB port on the board either burns out or the cable starts to overheat, no I didn't ...

Ive just received the board today and Ive tried connecting it to my PC to flash the software. When I connect the USB to the board I get no lights at all. No sounds from my computer indicating something was connected and no popups saying that a driver is installing or that a new USB device was found ...

Good news is, I got my answer and thanks for that. Bad news is, they didnt come with the locking screw and I havent seen any, either in the bag or anywhere else that will fit in that slot. Any ideas?
