I've tried flashing different versions of the UI firmware onto the screen's SD card but the screen is still black. I needed to buy a new screen as the old one stopped responding to touches. I now have the new version.

PROBLEM SOLVED. I changed DISABLE_INACTIVE_EXTRUDER to false and now the stepper motor rotates.

I've swapped wires and driver boards and tested the extruder motor (turns) but i can't get the extruder motor to turn during printing, or manually...i'm guessing this is a firmware problem??

Does anyone know how to edit the firmware for this issue? I'm running Marlin 1.1.8.
