I've reported this issue a long time ago and just started to work on the A30 again to maybe fix it, so I also checked the forum and found this thread.
I've switched to use Creality printers and don't have any "special" issues ever since. Normal Marlin firmware instead of that custom crap firmware ...

A30 SDCard issue - print pauses randomly
Hi!
I've never noticed this issue before as I've been printing from an Octopi, but now I wanted to print from SD Card and the printer randomly pauses. This does not happen when printing over USB.
Does the A30 have issues with SDCards of a certain tech type or size? The same SD cards work fine on ...

Re: Advice and oponions needed before purchase!
I pretty much gave up on the A30 as it's the only printer I have a lot of trouble with. The A10 runs great, as does the Prusa i3 clone (both based on Marlin), but the A30 is a mess and lacks the support for basic functions in the homebrew firmware. I also have quite some issues with weird rippling ...

Re: TMC2208 Vref - Geared vs Ungeared Feeders
Hi!
I currently also have issues with tuning the extruder motor voltage with 2208s. Everything above 0.6V appears to overheat the motor after a while. At about 0.45V, it runs cool but appears to miss steps. Now I'm testing 0.55V. I suggest you tune your 2208 for the Extruder to 0.55V as well and ...

Re: A30 downgrade from GT32Pro to GT2560 v3.0 and Marlin 1.1.9 installation
Hi!
For your information: I've tested these values and they can not be used with the Geeetech default firmware. Good thinking there, but unfortunately the PID values appear to be interpreted differently by Marlin and this firmware :( Using these values, you get a dirty sinus wave where e.g. the ...

Wow. You're a genius, why didn't I think about asking for the values! That might be super-handy, I'll modify my A30's values when I come home from work and do some test prints. Great thinking there! :D
