Power supply not working

Post by Coffeeownsyou »

All wires are connected correctly according to pictures and instructions given for the geeetech prusa i3 pro b.
Nothing powers whilst plugged into the mains only the light on the power switch.

The lcd and motherboard turn on when I plug it into my laptop but I can't print as there isn't enough power to run it.

I'm pretty sure the power supply is faulty and not working.

Hi,
Did you measure the DC output of your PSU with a multimeter? Is it 12V?

Also, could you attach some pics about your wiring on the PSU?

Hi,
You can test the voltage between the red wiring and the black one when you power on,so as to confirm if the PSU is a bad one.
Attach the pic of multimeter displaying plz.
