Ok thanks Mark I figured it out after all that... I thought it was going to be a little harder so sorry for amount of posts.

I will do up a some testing and do quick wire diagram on the weekend for anyone else who would like to try this.

... may have jumped the gun.

If I eject the SDcard and put it back in it doesn't read it till I restart the printer. I'll have to do some more investigating before this is a good mod or not.

I just can't get this to work.

I put in a SC card turn on the printer and it works perfect. If I reject the SDcard it will not read it unless I reboot the printer.

This the same problem I have if I use a extended SDcard reader.

Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

Hello,

Thank you for your work. It works fine with Marlin 1.1.8 on my GeeeTECH i3 Pro W (GT2560 rev A + with LCD2004 Yellow) and my CTC Prusa i3 (GT2560 rev A with LCD2004 Rev3 Blue)

To operate the sd card insertion and removal detection, connector 7 (CMD) must be used on the connector of the incoming web of the GT2560 with a 10K Ohm resistor on a non-wired switch on the arduino module. (to see the photo).

Merci pour votre travail. Cela fonctionne très bien avec Marlin 1.1.8 sur ma GeeeTECH i3 Pro W (GT2560 rev A+ avec écran LCD2004 Jaune) et ma CTC Prusa i3 (GT2560 rev A avec écran LCD2004 Rev3 Bleu)

Pour faire fonctionner la détection d'insertion et de retrait de la carte sd, il faut utiliser le connecteur 7 (CMD) sur le connecteur de la nappe arrivant de la GT2560 avec une résistance de 10K Ohm sur un interrupteur non câblé sur le module arduino (voir la photo).
