Generally, the user can verify this by the serial number.
This device did not have so many changes in the firmware.

At the moment, as I mentioned earlier, the whole operation is a bit troublesome.
Together with the lead engineer we have to gather conclusions and consult.
There is one more idea to test for simplifying the procedure.
The device is built on "a sandwich" and each µC requires an update of its software. Hence the cumbersome procedure.
I can also say that in the new version of the software the firmware
update procedure has been very well developed and is user friendly.
