that's not even the same thing that's to check the size.
i tried every firmware offer here and official before i was like there all garbage and made a decent firmware.
if you don't want to listen to people that know what there doing and have spent 100s of hours testing to confirm things work by all means struggle on your own.
I too try several firmware,and for this i write my own.All functions i wanna work,but not the bltouch.
I follow 2 guide.
