Hi.I also have 3.2HW, STM32 board and FW58 on my A30. X axis does not work on TMC2208 while other axis are OK. I have reversed motor direction, but X goes in the wrong direction - to the right and stays there. Reversing direction does not change anything. It must be a FW problem.

Has anyone managed to get the 2208 drivers working yet? I am interested in doing this upgrade. My machine is noisy and vibrates terribly.

Hi all. William, your FW update corrects moving in X and Z axis. The movement in Y axis works too, as it did in officially published V1.58. After updating FW, I only had to change motor directions in the settings. So, thank you, my printer A30 is now silent.
For those interested, I make youtube videos. At the moment I am reviewing and twicking A30 (general review, updates to make it top of the top, some solutions to HW/FW problems etc.). Videos are not sponsored.

I have years of 3D printing experience. In conclusion, the A30 is the TOP of cheap 3D printers!
The only hope I have is Geeetech will soon do the Marlin migration as Smartto is buggy...

And I deeply believe that problems with the Smartto firmware will be resolved definitively.
And this software can be better than Marlin 2. :D

Unfortunately, all this takes time.
