It appears that as the filament feeds in it feeds till the bottom of the nozzle then it seems to stop and form a plug at the end and seems to just squash down instead of extruding through the nozzle. some support would be nice

Is the teperature high enough?
Generally, it is 170-190 degrees for PLA, and 190-200 for ABS.
If necessary, you can raise it a bit higher.

i have tries raising the temp to 230 for PLA, it seems to help a bit but the same thing still happen after it flows for a while but then the motor still occasionally jitters.

Try to adjust the intensity of extruding by the thread.

I Have adjusted that screw. if it is lose then the gear slips after teh extruder blocks, if i tighten it the the motor jitters.

When you let the extruder work without filament, is the motor jittering?

No the motor runs smoothly it seems to just be that the extruded becomes blocked

If the extruder is blocked, please raise the temperature to 230 degrees, then try to extrude the filament with your hand downwards.

Ok so success!! i have got the system the print successfully. i had to turn the e step down to 100, it was feeding way to much plastic at 700, and up the temp to 230degrees

Great! Generally, the e step is 100. 700 is too high.
If the filament is PLA, 200 degrees is enough, or it may become black.
