I suggest you refer to this post then increase the vref of the A4988:

This is my EXACT issue but on the A10. Trying to track down the issue is a nightmare. Not sure if the hot's end, the feeder, mesh seems great and first layers get stuck on like glue with good flow, but something must be backing up because it approaches a clog. Sometimes I can't even manually feed it through, and it's not the nozzle. If I remove the nozzle, I still can't push filament through. The clog is happening in the throat. Any advice? Please!

yeah i have a A10 and seem to have the same issue. If i manually push the filament it prints fine, When i let it print on its own , it mostly prints ok but has some bits where its under extruding a bit and usually makes the clicking noise when that happens. Iv'e heard allot of people having issues with both the extruder or the hot end clogging.

I doubt its clogging on mine since it mostly flows fine but i will have a look today. Otherwise I shall install a E3D V6 hotend which i have had on one of my old printers. I have ordered a all metal MK8 extruder from amazon, Anyone recommend any way to install the E3D hotend?

I tried removing the plastic but I may have removed too much of it. Can you provide the .stl files of the mount? Are they available somewhere for download?

I buy a geeetech A20M 2 days ago. After many tries impossible to have a correct print (see pictures bellow).

there is empty space between the filaments of platiques (not enough and/or no flimament flowing from the extruders).

Strange that my 2 extruders have problems.

I also always adjust the bed (z=0) before starting a new print so that the paper rubs between the bed and the nozzle. But I can see that the paper does not pass between the nozzle and the bed each time that I start a new print.

Does this mean that the table is moving during the printing or is it normal ?


Can PLEASE someone help me ?

This can be a natural phenomenon if the deformations are not great.
Under the influence of temperature, the aluminium hotplate can deform.

I had same trouble as you with the extruder. It didn‘t transport enough filament to the hot end what caused underextrusion. Very often the filament got Stücken the extruder... just as explained above!

My solution: higher temperature at the hot end and lower flow!

Give it a try. In my case it worked perfectly!

My prints were looking exactly like this on my A10. The resulting parts were weak, low-density, and stringy. I tried increasing or decreasing the temperature and this was not the solution. What I needed to do was to calibrate the extrusion stepper motor steps/mm. This is a pretty easy process you can do with a ruler and a sharpie and all the settings can be made right on the printer. The printer came set with something like 93 steps/mm. It took me two calibration steps to come up with a whopping 280 steps/mm. I suspect this is indicating another problem with my setup (low voltage or otherwise weak extruder?) However, after setting this value (and making sure to save the value), the printer is working amazingly! In an extrusion test it extrudes exactly 100mm when asked to, and the prints are coming out beautifully with a hot-end temperature of 193.

My question however, is should I really need to set the steps/mm to 280? Or should I be looking for another issue to correct?
