Hi everyone

I have bought an acrylic i3 pro B 3d printer. Today while i was printing suddenly the printer stopped, the lcd screen showed error max temperature. I checked the extruder thermistor, i replaced with an other, i tried to re upload the firmware but nothing worked. The only method that i could manage the printer to work was by replacing the board with arduino mega + ramps 1.4. I bought the printer from geeetech ebay store about 9 months ago. The board from the manufacturer is sanguinololu. Is there something helpful to solve this or simply the board is dead ?

Thank in advance

Dear Mark

I followed step by step the previous guide. When i attached a jumper at extruder's thermistor pins and i got 358 ℃ / 0 ℃ and Err: MAXTEMP as you refer. When the jumper is unplugged, lcd displays 266 / 0 ℃ and Err: MAXTEMP constantly. What else would be causing this issue ?

since you can make it work using the ramps board, then it might be the sanguinololu's problem. How about reinstall the firmware?

how about the back of the connector? does the pins have a short with each or not? If not then seems you'll gonna need a new board ..

Hi Mark

As you can seen in the attachment, there is no short circuit. Even if it was a short circuit, lcd screen should display 358 C and not 266 C Error. Finally i need a new board ?
Ι bought the printer from geeetech's ebay store at 7th of May 2015. Is there a product warranty ? The receipt id is 2417-5145-6841-2186
