2G devices no longer supported by AT&T

I received advice from my carrier (AT&T) that 2G devices will no longer be usable after 12/31/2016.
Can someone suggest an alternative 3G device on a breakout board? I am currently using a sim900 (2G)
fabricated by Geeetech.

2g is no more in some country
