Help with first print

I'm new to geeetech, just successfully completed building delta G2, and am excited to print. After hours of play I'm happy with calibration, auto leveling. Now I'm stuck on my first print, and looking for answers. Here's my problem: download the "test cube", load it into repitier, it centers automatically, I slice it w/slic3r, then hit run. Then the bed heats up to the specific temp. then the extruded, then it homes. But after it homes, the stepper motors keep trying to move the spider up violently, I have to emergency stop. One time I let it go (do its thing), it stopped after about 5 seconds, then it came down into the bed, I had to emergency stop that one.

I'm thinking its a firmware value, but not sure what, like endstop maybe?

Anybody have advice? Thanks

did you delete the G29 from the slic3r settings? If you don't want to use the auto-leveling function every time you print, then you need to delete it or it will behave like this.

Mark,
Thanks that worked. I had just a little time to monkey with the printer before going to work. But what I did was delete gcode G29, changed Z50 back to Z5, and for some reason I also deleted M84 SO (I'll put that code back when I get home).

I did the same "cube" stl. sliced it, hit run, and everything seem to run as expected. Although I had a new problem, I need to adjust my temp's. because the abs did not adhere to the bed.

Currently bed temp. is 55, and extruded is 200.

Any advice on temp.? And are all abs created the same?

Thanks.

usually for PLA: heatbed 60-70 and hotend 190-210;
ABS :heatbed 90-110 and hotend 225-240;
And use some masking tape or glue on the bed before printing will help the filament stick to the bed better.
