Extruder 1 heats to 300C anytime either extruder temp is set

geeetech i3 pro c extruder 1 exceeds set temp. Extruder 0 seems to work as expected. When I set extruder 0, extruder 0 heats to the set temp but extruder 1 also begins heating on its own even though it shows a set temp of 0. This is brand new and has yet to have a single print. I have been fighting with this printer for weeks!!!! I have updated the firmware due to issues with the x axis homing in the wrong direction, had to modify the z axis top acrylic piece due to extreme wobble, among other petty issues. This is very frustrating. I didn't expect to be printing the first day or even the first 3 days, but 2+ weeks of troubleshooting and research is crazy. Please help me get my first print out of this thing.

Hi,
Did you have a bad mosfet for extruder1?I think you can try checking the mosfet:

I don't mind checking, but your request for me to check the mosfet doesn't make since to me. Obviously the mosfet is functioning. The extruder 1 heater comes on and stays on once either of the extruder heaters are triggered. It just doesn't turn off. Seems like a programming/firmware issue.

Shouldn't the extruder heaters be operating in parallel? This is commented out in the firmware.
In Configuration_adv.h
Code: Select all
// Control heater 0 and heater 1 in parallel.
//#define HEATERS_PARALLEL

Hi,
I don't think it is a firmware problem if your firmware is the one comes with the printer.And have you checked the mosfet?In my opinion,it is the mosfet that controls the heating's on and off.So i said maybe it was the mosfet problem...
