Z Stepper motor not working - Geeetech I3

The power supply that came with the printer was having problems and the seller sent me another one! Since the first power supply was failing, I could not test all the components.
Now with the new source, I did the printer test procedures and apparently the 1 of the Z axis stepper motor is not working.
During the tests the x-axis motor was reversed. So I reinstalled the firmware and it runned just fine.
But one of the Z-axis motors does not rotate. The other engine turns perfectly but locks up and starts to make a lot of noise due to the inclination of the x-axis and the high load on it.
I would like to know if the stepper motor is defective or if there is something I can do to fix it.
