Extruder faulty?

Hello there!
After some troubleshooting on my extruder I have come down to this:
First off im just quoting the instructions regarding how to connect it: "* There is no “+” and “-“polarity for heating wires "
- If I connect the extruder to its port it does not heat at all
- If I switch the polarity as the instructions are stating wont change anything it heats up as soon as I power on the machine and does not stop heating. Litterary would go to the point of burning up.
- Meassurements while the extruder DID NOT heat(lets call it +- polarity when it did not heat and -+ polarity when it did heat): It outputs 12v when the extruder does not heat. I would assume it would heat at 12v? The heating bed gives out 0v for refrence.
- Meassurements while the extruder DID heat: Anywhere between 80-120V. Waaay above what it should be?
- The resistance of the extruder is unkown as all I get is overload no matter what I meassure in(mega ohm, kilo ohm, ohm).
- The resistance while meassuring by the hotend, under the tape where it goes into the piece: still overload.
I changed the heatbed to the extruders port and the extruder to the heatbeds port. At this point the heatbed port gave out 12v all the time, while the extruder port gave out 0v. They basicly switched roles. Is this a sign that there are no issues with the mosfets/board as the error persists on both ports and only on the port the extruder is connected to?
Is this a know issue? Is it possible to fix it or is the extruder dead?
Thanks for any help!
