Firmware for gt2560

Hi I have one of my geeetechi3 printers with a damaged board. I have purchased a new board . Can some one explain in simple terms and steps how to read the firmware on the damaged board and upload it to the new board. I have Adruino software installed.
I am new to this so be patient.

You can examine what kind of version of firmware you use and then upload it to your new board from web.

When compiling the firmware for gt2560 board I get fpos_t error message.
How do I fix this?

it is wrong with compile format.

I have installed Marlin firmware on my GT2560 Rev A+ board.
It does not communicate with the lcd screen any suggestion?
Please explain step by step as I am a computer guy

The one causing reason I can imagine is the firmware wrong ,I suggest you install the firmware again.
