Dial on LCD2004 no longer scrolls

The rotary dial/encoder on my Geeetech LCD2004 no longer scrolls the menu. Depressing the knob to click still works though.

I did increase the voltage output on my PSU from 11.99v to 12.6v as I'd read it would help with my slow heatbed warm up time, not sure if that is the reason it stopped working or not. (I've since dropped the voltage back down, but the dial still doesn't scroll when turned).

How can I test it?

DO you screw the knob tightly ,if that is ok,you maybe change a new LCD.

What do you mean by screw the knob tightly?
The LCD displays fine, I would assume it's the dial/encoder that is broken now and that I could solder in a new one.

I agree with your idea that the dial may be out of work, but i am curious where you can find a new dial to replace the bad one,as I know,LCD is a whole.
