Good day folks,

As stated from the title im am in need of some help, so i just finished building my Geeetech prusa I3 pro B acrylic frame and i went to start my first test print and im having a major issue, my extruder will not print. The axis all move correctly as if it was printing but the extruder does not release the PLA for the print, although when the extruder is left for long enough it begins to drip some of the melted pla.

Is this an extruder issue?

Is it a firmware issue?

Can anyone help out as it was be majorly appreciated
Thanks in advance
Jodie

You should check the temp of the nozzle
For PLA:180~220C

Have you performed an extruder calibration?
Have you performed any calibration?

These are very important settings.

thanks for your replies folks, i have set the extruder temp to 210-215 to make sure the PLA is heated enough. I have done a calibration test and managed to get some sort of test print partially printed but it feels like there is not enough PLA coming through at the same time as i seem to get more of a stringy effect.

i will run a few more sample prints tonight after work and post the results.

Thanks in advance
